• Outstanding Music Program

    LMH has an outstanding music program which is part of the high school curriculum. The program often takes LMH students to competitions and performances off campus. LMH international students have excelled in several music competitions.

    Stephen Gao playing pianoJust recently, Stephen Gao, a junior at LMH, captured top honors in the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra competition at Franklin & Marshall College’s Barshinger Center for Music Arts. He won the first position by performing Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto in G Minor, Op 25 and plans to put his $4,000 scholarship toward an education at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

    LMS ChoirThe school’s select choir, the Campus Chorale, has a reputation for choral excellence. Campus Chorale provides concerts and programs for many local congregations and has performed in choir festivals throughout the United States and Canada. They have also done performance trips to countries as far as South Africa.

    Students are also encouraged to join other music groups such as the string orchestra, concert band and jazz ensemble to take their talents as far as they can.
